Ryan joined the USO’s development team in 2022 and serves as a Philanthropy Officer for the USO’s US Central Region. The Central Region covers Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Ryan joined us with more than 20 years in the nonprofit organizational space where he has held key development roles in healthcare, higher education, youth development and social services. Right before joining the USO, he served as the Vice President of Development for a veteran services organization based in San Antonio, Texas. Ryan’s background includes experience assisting donors with a wide range of philanthropic initiatives. In his current position, he assists individual donors and individual family foundations with their support of the USO. It’s a wonderful way to combine his extensive development experience with his deep patriotism for the United States.

A native Michigander, Ryan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, his Master of Science in Business Administration degree from Madonna University and has been a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2010. Ryan, his wife Joanne and their teenage son live in San Antonio, Texas. In his free time, Ryan enjoys visiting historical sites, driving cars, eating culinary delights and spending time with the family in Texas Hill Country.
