Way to go, USO of South Carolina, in getting May to be officially recognized as “USO Awareness Month.” This is especially exciting considering that the USO at Columbia Metropolitan Airport will be celebrating its one-year anniversary on June 3. We’re proud of Center Director Joanie Thresher, our staff, volunteers, and all of the Troops who use this facility and hope you’ll join us in wishing them a Happy USO Awareness Month!

I’M A VOLUNTEER AT USO COLUMBIA METRO AND LOVE THE TIME I SPEND THERE. AS A VIETNAM VETERAN, IT’S GREAT TO TALK WITH THE ACTIVE-DUTY PEOPLE THAT COME THROUGH OUR USO. I’M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN VETERAN, AND PROUD OF ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO MAKE SO MANY SACRAFICES TO KEEP US SAFE AND FREE TODAY. THEY ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS UNTIL THEY ALL COME HOME. GREAT JOB JOANIE AND FELLOW STAFF MEMBERS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. GO TROOPS.
