JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J.—It was a morning to remember.

A group of stars from NBC’s “This Is Us” – Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Sullivan – spent a morning visiting service members and their families at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as part of a USO entertainment tour earlier this week.

This marked the USO tour for Moore, Metz, Hartley, Watson and Sullivan as well as the third USO experience for Ventimiglia.

“Service members are out every day giving everything so for us to say hey, we’re here, we’re on the East Coast, we want to go spend some time with them, it’s the smallest and easiest thing to do to recognize the great work that all of our service members do,” Ventimiglia said.

As part of the visit, the group visited service members at work, held meet-and-greets for military families and learned about the daily operations of the 87th Logistics Readiness Squadron and Marine Aircraft Group 49.

“To see them [the service members] be able to check out for just a second and like, interact with us, and have fun and laugh, it feels good,” Hartley said.
