Today wraps up the ride of a lifetime for any military supporter who loves history! A group of 30 wounded warriors and their supporters visited places like Utah and Omaha beaches, Pointe du Hoc, Brecourt Manor, and Caen for the recent Ride 2 Recovery Normandy Challange. Several of the riders were French WWII vets, including one who fought with the USA on Utah Beach! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOZK3uCk8j8] After riding for five days thru the D-Day battlefields, the ride joined Stage 6 of the Tour de France in the finish town of Liseux. Perhaps they caught a glimpse of HTC sprinter Mark Cavendish crossing the finish line!
