The recent elimination of Al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden has released a raft of different emotions for Americans. Feelings of elation, relief and vindication have been on display in cities across the country since the announcement late Sunday night by President Barack Obama. This most recent milestone attained by the U.S. military also provides a time for many to reflect on the past 9 ½ years that propelled our nation into a new mission: a war against global terrorism.
Events can change American foreign policy in an instant and as those policies become actions, the USO will continue to be there in support of our nation’s military and their families, lifting their spirits and providing them valuable services and materials.
