USO tour featuring recording artists Joan Jett and Kellie Pickler

WHEN: Winter 2011

WHERE: Middle East (Due to security reasons, the countries and tour dates cannot be released at this time.)

WHY: Hard rocker Joan Jett and country music singer/songwriter Kellie Pickler will team-up for a week-long USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour and deliver a host of performances to troops serving overseas in the Middle East. In addition to entertaining service men and women, the musical powerhouses will sign autographs, participate in meet and greets and extend America’s support.

No strangers to body armor, tanks or the desert, this trip marks the 61st visit to a military installation for Jett and the fourth USO tour for Pickler. Trekking across the globe to lift the spirits of troops, together the duo have boosted the morale of tens of thousands of service heroes serving in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Germany, Japan and Pakistan.

  1. I would just like to say “Thank You!!!!” to Joan Jet and Kellie Pickler, for taking the time to support our troops. I know the soliders will enjoy the concert, especially a very important solider. My 19 year old daughter is currently serving in Iraq. When I spoke with her the other day- the news of the concert was the first thing she told me about. She is very excited and can not wait.
Thank you again for all that you ae doing for our troops.

  5. Thank you for making my son’s birthday a good one on January 9. He is currently serving in Iraq, but he was in Kuwait when you performed there.
Thanks again from an appreciative soldier’s Mom for all you do for the troops.

  6. Thank you so much Joan Jett. I was fortunate enough to get to see her in late 2001 or early 2002 during her tour of Afghanistan. Saw her on HBO’s coverage of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this evening. It’s a terrible shame she has not yet been inducted. Her music is awesome and she’s a wonderful patriotic woman to boot.
