One hundred seven years ago today, Leslie Townes Hope was born in England.  You might know him better as Bob.  Yes, it’s Bob Hope’s birthday and we’re celebrating by bringing you this special poem, which salutes all of those who have supported the USO and our Troops…

Throughout its noble history the USO has been there for America’s brave, honorable ones who answered our beloved country’s call on behalf of us all, standing proudly tall defending the home of the brave, and keeping the USA the land of the free with oh so many in harm’s way.

The USO has gone and continues to go with patriotic volunteer entertainers from legends to new star faces bringing enjoyable reprieve to our troops near and far away, with a message of appreciation, respect, and support for their valiant duty to country!

The USO truly exemplifies love and pride of America, as does all the involved celebrity patriots with a special salute to those being there whenever asked like… Bob Hope, Wayne Newton, Martha Raye, Ann-Margret, Gary Sinise, and Toby Keith.

Thanks for the memories that you brought to every American troop! by David G. Bancroft, Founder of USA Patriotism! Copyright © May 27, 2010 All Rights Reserved
