Over 300 Brides Find the Gowns of Their Dreams!

USO New England and Vows Bridal Outlet teamed up for the “G.I. Gown Giveaway,” ensuring that over 300 women received a gorgeous wedding gown…for free!  The first of what will hopefully become many annual events, this giveaway was especially meaningful for USO New England Executive Director Jean Mallon.  ”We wanted each bride to feel special,” Mallon said. “Not only is it an exciting practical gift for military families and brides-to-be, but it also boosts morale.”  Check out a photo gallery of the gown giveaway goings on:

The USO/Sesame Street Experience – Tell Us YOUR Story!

Sesame Street USO Experience

Last year, Sesame Workshop and the USO teamed up to present “The Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families” – a free traveling USO tour featuring five of America’s favorite Muppets.  This year the tour has travelled to six countries and twenty military installations, most recently to Hawaii.

We’ve seen so much positive feedback from audience members; seeing the joy on these childrens’ faces is just priceless.  But we can only tell part of the story.  Have you and your family attended a Sesame Street/USO Experience?  Did you take pictures, write a blog, or would you like to share your story?  Has the tour not visited your town yet, but should?
